PHO, DOH Train Health Personnel on Symptomatic Management of STI

The provincial Health Office of Camiguin, in cooperation with the Department of Health trained selected health personnel-doctors, nurses and midwives within the Island on the Symptomatic Management of Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) at Paras Beach Resort, Yumbing, Mambajao, Camiguin last Nov. 4-6, 2008.

The main objective of the said training was to inform and educated respective health personnel regarding the existing health threats of STI in society, and how they can help clients make early diagnosis and treatment of said disease.

The speakers of said training included Dr. Evelyn Magsayo, STI Medical Coordinator and Ms. Marilou A. Gecosia, Nurse Coordinator.

This training is the first of its kind sponsored by PHO, and clients and health personnel should expect follow through training early next year.
