Camiguin is a peaceful island, year-round with respect to crime related activities. It can almost be said that it has a zero-crime rate. Police visibility is one of the factors which maintain the peace and order situation in the province. The Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Armed Forces (PAF), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the Philippine Coastguard can be approached and asked for assistance with their 24-hour duty.
The province can also boast its ever-active Provincial Disaster Coordinating Council (PDCC) spearheaded by the Governor, together with his dynamic members. It has its search and rescue team which is composed of volunteers and barangay tanods.
